ALTON – Hirundo Wildlife Refuge will hold a cross country ski clinic on Sunday, Feb 15 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. as part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend.
Bring your success story, questions and concerns about your ski practice to this follow up cross-county ski clinic with Maine Master Guide and Ski instructor Karen Francoeur. All levels are welcome.
Ski throughout the interpretive trails of the refuge learn about nature while getting some healthy exercise! Improve upon your techniques and enjoy après–ski next to the campfire. Trail information will be provided to prepare for a winter of fun and exploration! Learning to ski or improving your ski technique lets you enjoy the winter more! Meet at Gate 1, next to Rte. 43. Course Fees are $20 for non-members; $17 for Penobscot Valley Ski Club members; and $10 for members of the Orono Land Trust and Hirundo Wildlife Refuge.
