SALEM — Police and wardens are investigating the death of a 61-year-old man who was found dead Thursday outside his home.
State Police said John Longley was killed when the top of a tree fell on him while he was cutting wood on his property at about 3 p.m.
Longley was dead when emergency crews arrived, police said. His home address was not available Thursday night.
