Indoor Championships for Youth, Open, and Master Athletes
The Maine Association of USA Track and Field is hosting its Youth, Open and Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 22 at the University of Maine in Orono.
The meet will be held at the New Balance Field House, and athlete check-ins begin at 8:30 a.m. Early registration for the meet is encouraged and online registration is available at www.meusatf.org. Registration can also be done at the meet starting at 8:30 a.m., but meet entries close on meet day at 10 a.m. Events begin at 11 a.m. USATF registration is required to participate in this meet.
Complete meet information is available at www.meusatf.org. Meet registraion is $20 and includes participation in four events. Late registration begins on Feb. 20 at midnight and is $25. Additional events may be entered for $3 an event.
Rangeley Lakes Trails Center events
RANGELEY — The 19th annual Rangeley Lakes Loppet will be held on Feb. 28 and will feature a freestyle Nordic ski marathon with 25k and 50k categories. The Burt Kettle Classic, a 25k classic race, will also be held on the Feb. 28. The Rangeley Moose Dash, a 5k snowshoe race with a classic old-style wooden snowshoe division, will be held on March 22.
