GREENWOOD (AP) — U.S. Sen. Angus King is getting a firsthand look at energy efficiency improvements at Mount Abram.

Ski mountain owner Matt Hancock is giving the senator a tour Monday of 803 solar-electric panels, a wood-fired boiler and other energy efficiency improvements. The ski area says the improvements have positioned it as a leader in climate sustainability.

The senator and Dylan Voorhees from Natural Resources Council of Maine will announce proposed federal and state policies aimed at providing access to clean energy investments for businesses so they can lower energy costs and cut pollution.
