MEXICO — A Bethel woman suffered minor abrasions late Tuesday night when she was pushed through a glass storm door after attempting to assault a couple at a Chase Avenue home, Mexico police Chief Roy Hodsdon said Wednesday morning.
Jennifer Fligg, 36, was charged with domestic assault and arrested by officer Rob Drouin, Hodsdon said. She was released on $800 unsecured bail and she will be arraigned at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, in 11th District Court.
Hodsdon said Drouin was sent to 77 Chase Ave. at 10:08 p.m. for a report of a woman being thrown through a window. Drouin learned Fligg’s ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend had purposely left the mobile home so Fligg could retrieve personal belongings, the chief said.
“They arrived back home after waiting a long while, and (Fligg) showed back up,” Hodsdon said. “The ex-boyfriend told her to stay off his property, and she started slapping the new girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend, and the ex-boyfriend pushed her through a door to stop the assault. He pushed her to get her to stop hitting them.”
Hodsdon said the storm door on the mobile home was glass, but Fligg’s injuries did not require a trip to Rumford Hospital.
Dixfield police officer Eric Bernier assisted.
