On Friday, Feb. 20, Back Woods Road will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries, at 115 Middle St., Lewiston. Back Woods Road has evolved adding fiddle and banjo to their already vast amount of stringed instruments. The band prides itself on being a highly energized acoustic band with tight harmonies and hard-driving lead solos. There’s never an ordinary song for this band. They take it up a notch and one further. You’ll hear original material, bluegrass, Americana, blues, folk, rock and some country. Every member plays more than one instrument, from the sweet sound of a Weissenborn (steel lap guitar),  fiddle, banjo, dobro, mandolin and both doghouse bass and electric acoustic upright. They’ve performed live on Fox 23 Good Day Maine, as well as the Brunswick arts festival, county fairs, music festivals and clubs. The performance begins at 8 p.m.; there is no cover charge. For more information call 376-3344.
