OXFORD — The Oxford Recreation Department announces the following programs in March:

Ms. D’s Boot Camp: Sunday 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday 7:30 p.m.; $5 per class. Meets March, 1, 4, 8, 11, 15 and 18. This is a dynamic boot camp workout designed to challenge you, push you past your comfort zone and gain results. ?Weight and resistance training through dynamic moves involves multiple muscles to be worked at one time, along with cardio to maximize results. Bring weights and a yoga mat if you have them, although not required.

Scrapbooking/Crop Club: Monday, March 16, 6 p.m.; $3 fee. Everyone who attends will be able to do a make’n take scrapbook project. Bring your scrapbooks or other archiving projects to work on and share ideas.

Piloxing: Wednesday, 6 p.m., March 4 and 25; $5 fee. No classes March 11 and 18. This is an exciting class with fun movement using boxing, Pilates and a bit of dance. It is very low impact and easy to follow along at your own pace. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat if you have one, although not required.

Senior Game Day/Nickel Bingo: Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to noon, March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Join in this fun, young at heart group. Bring a small supply of nickels and have a blast. Light refreshments are served for a small donation.

Baseball/softball/T-ball sign ups: Saturday, March 7, 9-11 a.m. and Tuesday, March 10, 6-7:30 p.m. This is for Oxford residents only. There will not be sign-ups on March 22 as originally posted. Registration forms are available on site. If unable to make it to either of these dates, registration is available at the town office. The teams are in need of volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, umpires, pregame field preparations, as well as field and grounds maintenance. To volunteer, call Ernie Fitts at 890-437 or Pam Lovely at 539-4563. There is a coaches meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 8, at the Rec Center.

Yoga: Thursdays at 6 p.m.; $5 fee. Classes meet March 5, 12, 19 and 26. This is a great class to increase flexibility and tone your body in a relaxing and soothing environment. Modifications are taught for everyone’s fitness level. Bring your yoga mat, comfortable clothing and an open mind.

Sewing club: Mondays at 6 p.m.; no fee. Club meets March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. This group gets together to gab and jab their needles into their sewing projects. Bring whatever project you’re working on at the time. A quilt or two have been created and put together here. There are plenty of tables creating nice workspaces.

Cooking class for kids: Monday from 3:30-5 p.m.; no fee for Oxford children. Class for grades 4-6 is March 23; class for grades 7-8 is March 30. Space is limited; you must RSVP a week in advance to save a spot for your child. Aprons are necessary. To register, call Connie Staples at 890-9163.
