Duplicate Bridge Club results

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Feb. 20. A five-table Howell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first in flight A were Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Marta Clements (Woodstock), second were Mike Newsom (South Paris) and Les Buzzell (Auburn), third were Neenie Kivus (Lewiston) and David Lock (Greene), fourth were Diane and Jim Fallon (Bridgton) who also were first in flight B. Second in B were Carol Curran (Waterford) and Denny Raymond (Waterford), third were Cynthia Clifford (Lewiston) and Claire Lyons (Lewiston), fourth were Milt McKeen Jr. (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples).

Games are held every Friday at 9:15 a.m. in the Rec Building on King Street. A partner is guaranteed. All bridge players are invited. For information, call Les Buzzell at 783-4153 or 754-9153 or email buzz116@myfairpoint.net.

Bethel Senior Citizens to meet March 11

WOODSTOCK — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will have their meeting and dinner at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Crosstone Restaurant, Route 26.

Doors open at 10:45 a.m.

The menu is fish or chicken. Price of the meal is $10.

Reservations must be made before March 1 by calling Arlene Lowell at 824-2877.

Oxford Seniors play nickel bingo weekly

OXFORD — Can you spare a nickel or two? This fun seniors’ group meets at the Oxford Recreation Center on King Street every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until noon to play nickel bingo.

Any senior or retired person can join — just bring a small supply of nickels.

Light refreshments are offered for a small donation.

Seniors invited to free corned beef dinner

NORWAY — The Rotary Club of Oxford Hills would like to invite senior citizens in the Oxford Hills to a free St. Patrick’s Day luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at The Progress Center dining hall, 35 Cottage St.

You must be 55 or older to qualify. Call TD Bank at 743-8131 to sign up; the first 100 callers will join the Rotary Club members for a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner.
