The Otisfield Winter Carnival Committee and the Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter Association thanks all of those who helped to make the 11th Winter Carnival a success this year. We are fortunate to have so many who contribute time and resources to make the Winter Carnival happen every year.
Thanks to the Otisfield girls softball teams for providing the Winter Carnival with the Italian Theme dinner. We hope your fundraiser was a success.
We would like to thank Spurr’s Corner Church for the wonderful breakfast on Saturday to start the day with full bellies.
Though we had to adjust our morning activities from the town beach to the Community Hall this year, we still had great participation for the games and lunch. A big thank you goes to Patty and Al Haggerty and their crew for the warm and hearty lunch of soup and chowder.
Thank you to all of our many volunteers who helped with the fun games at the Community Hall: Kenzie and Kori Kahkonen, Brendan and Ashley Bedell, Allyson, Devin and Matty Day, Hal Fergusen, Amy Kahkonen, Deb Bedell, Beth Kastora and Kristen Roy.
Thanks to Nancy Lundquist for manning the prize table and the Otisfield Road Crew for the extra plowing at the Community Hall.
We would also like to thank East Otisfield Baptist Church for the make-and-take crafts and cookie decorating at the Town Office in the afternoon. The room was busy with happy children and parents warming up. Thanks to Bedell Electric for grooming the sled course. The children enjoyed racing the plastic sleds down the hill. The Cardboard Classic Sled Race had many creative and colorful designs and was entertaining to watch.
We would like to thank Carter’s Cross-country Ski Resort, Day’s Country Store, Hannaford’s, Lucky Lanes Bowling, Smitty’s Cinema, Seacoast Adventure, Shawnee Peak, Mount Abram, Applebee’s, Pizza Hut, Tractor Supply and Record Lumber for their sponsorships of the Otisfield Winter Carnival.
Finally, we would like to thank all those who came and participated. The smiling faces of all made the Otisfield Winter Carnival a success.
