LIVERMORE FALLS — Doris A. Girardin, 82, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Sunday morning, March 8, at her home.
She was born in Jay on March 25, 1932, a daughter of James Reed and Grace (Berube) Reed. She graduated from Jay High School in 1951. On Sept. 6, 1954, Doris married Norman Girardin at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay; Norman passed away on Sept. 18, 2010.
She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and was very active in the community. She was also an avid fan of all sports held at the high school.
Doris is survived by her sons, Norman Girardin and his wife, Carmen, of North Augusta, S.C., and Robert Girardin of Livermore Falls; a daughter, Tecia Girardin; three grandsons and two granddaughters; her brother, Eddie Reed, of Clearwater, Fla.; and three sisters, Jeannine Wilkins and her husband, Hersey, of Livermore Falls, and Arlene Dysart and Louise O’Quinn, both of South Carolina.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Norman Girardin; and her sister, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Mullins.
