FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School District music department has announced the upcoming concert series for March Music in Our Schools Month.

This celebration event brings together all the music ensembles from the entire district, grades fourth through 12th, in three kinds of performance ensembles: band, chorus and orchestra:

* Chorus Festival at 7 p.m. March 12 in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus.

* String Celebration at 7 p.m. March 17 in the Mt. Blue Campus gym. 

* Band-A-Rama at 7 p.m. March 18 in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus.

All concerts are free and open to the public.

Immediately following the concerts the Mt. Blue Music Boosters will again host an ice cream social featuring Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream. Ice cream will be sold for $1 a bowl with proceeds going towards the summer music study scholarship fund.
