1938 – 2015

LEWISTON — Charlyn A. Bonney, 77, of Turner, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 10, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Charlyn, or more affectionately known as “Charlie,” was born Feb. 11, 1938, a daughter of Arthur and Thelma (Hiscock) Adams Sr. She spent part of her youth in New Hampshire before moving back to Maine, where she grew up on a farm with her siblings.

Charlie worked at DeCoster Egg Farm in Turner as an office administrator, before working at Maine Revenue Services, where she retired.

She was an independent woman whose strong will allowed her to live at home until her passing. Charlie was passionate about politics and enjoyed watching Fox News and participating in online political forums. She was a proud member of the NRA and loved listening to Willie Nelson. Above all, Charlie loved her family and especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Bonney-Corson and her husband, Hal, of Parkman; grandchildren, Sarah Bonney, Rianne Ouellette, Nathaniel Wing and Jonathan Wing; a great-granddaughter, Makayla Bonney-King; and a brother, Benjamin Adams.

She was predeceased by her son, F. Mark Bonney; and two brothers, Arthur L. Adams Jr. and Sterling Adams.

Tributes and condolences may be shared by visiting her memorial page at www.wilesrc.com.
