WATERBORO— The school superintendent is promising to deal swiftly with the perpetrator of an assault on a teenage girl that was videotaped at Maine’s Massabesic High School.
The mother tells WGME-TV that her daughter had bruises and scratches on her head following the attack, which was posted on social media.
The video showed no one coming to the teen’s aid.
The mother says the perpetrators planned out the entire episode, including the cellphone video. Superintendent John Davis apologized in a letter to the mother and said he will address this matter swiftly and justly. Citing confidentiality, administrators aren’t discussing the attack.
