Allen Connors, managing partner of The Bethel Inn Resort, has announced the promotion of Travis Brooks to the position of Head Golf Professional at The Bethel Inn Resort. “Travis’ appointment continues our proud tradition of promoting current employees to major supervisory positions at the resort. We are proud that all our key department heads have grown into their positions from within,” according to Connors.
Travis is a graduate of Telstar with a degree in business management from St. Joseph’s College in Standish. He is a member of the Brooks family, long-time owners of Brooks Brother’s in Bethel. Married to the former Justine Carver, also of Bethel, he is the proud new father of a son, Chase.
His new responsibilities include supervising the golf pro shop personnel, organizing tournaments for country club members and special events including the New England Couples Championship and The Fall Festival Pro Am. He also will supervise the Guaranteed Performance School of Golf and all on-going teaching activities.
Travis has long been associated with the resort, playing golf with his father as a child, then working on golf course maintenance, and later becoming an assistant in the golf shop. “I spent a lot of time learning golf and actually growing up at the resort and it is a very special place to me. To become head professional is really a dream come true”, according to Brooks.
