1927 – 2015

AUBURN — Pauline Theresa (Bernier) Bolduc, 87, passed away with her daughters by her side, after a long battle with dementia, on Thursday, March 12, at Clover Health Care, where she was a resident for the past five years.

She was born in Lewiston on June 18, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Camille Bernier, and attended local schools.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Normand Bolduc, on Aug. 29, 1946, and they were married for 53 years. Pauline was a homemaker and also worked at several local shoe and textile factories.

Pauline enjoyed raising her daughters, reading, dancing, singing, making holiday treats and meat pies, watching television, making her family’s favorite soup every Sunday and socializing with friends and family. She was often the life of the party.

Her favorite holiday was Christmas, during which she enjoyed watching the looks on the children’s faces in her family as they opened their presents. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her trips to Old Orchard Beach.

She was predeceased by her husband, Normand; her mother and father; and two brothers, Armand and Victor.

The family would like to thank the staff at Clover, where she was affectionately known as “Marilyn Monroe,” and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and care.
