LEWISTON — A Liturgy of the Word service for Henry C. “Tibby” Thibodeau was held Saturday morning, March 14, with the Rev. Aaron Damboise presiding, at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home.

During the service, Henry’s two grandsons, Timothy and Daniel Haggerty, shared words of remembrance about their grandfather, who taught them love of country and family, and he was an example for them to live by. Son-in-law William Haggerty shared how important his military service in the Marine Corps was to Henry throughout his life.

The U.S. Marine Corps Honor Detail played taps and folded and presented our country’s flag to Henry’s wife, Joan, for her husband’s service to his country during World War II. Burial will be privately held at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Augusta.

At the conclusion of services, all in attendance greeted the Thibodeau family with their own personal condolence. All were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Chick-A-Dee Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements were made by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
