CASTLETON, Vt. — Tyler Sturtevant of Mechanic Falls was one of 13 Castleton student athletes recently named to the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Academic Team for his dedication and commitment in the classroom and on the field.

Sturtevant is a first-time recipient. The defensive back made six appearances with four tackles for Castleton.

Castleton’s 13 All-Academic Team selections was tied with Husson and Norwich for the most in the ECFC. The 13 is also tied for the most in program history. To be named to the team a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing, have participated a minimum of two years with the team and achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.
