Boy Scouts plan Chinese auction March 21

PARIS — The leaders of Boy Scout Troop 130 in South Paris will host a Chinese auction on Saturday, March 21, at Oxford Hills Middle school. Doors open at 4 p.m. Auction starts at 6 p.m.

Spring Fling Fair is March 28 in Hartford

HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church will have its annual Spring Fling Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Hartford Town Hall, Route 140. The event benefits the church.

There will be Easter gifts, food, Easter desserts, 17 crafters, crocheted, knit, woodworking, jewelry, quilting, homemade items, honey, toys, homemade pies, lunch options and much more.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners announced

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on March 16 were as follows: first place, Claire Lyons and Dot Murray; second place, Les Buzzell and Tom Goodwin; third place, Jan and Vern Arey. Winners on March 17 were: first place, Jan Arey and Jeanine Kivus; second place, David Lock and Mike True.

Bethel Senior Citizens meet April 8

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at the Roosters Roadhouse in Mayville for their meeting and dinner on Wednesday, April 8. Doors open at 10:45 and the meeting starts at 11:10.

The menu is a choice of Yankee pot roast or fish. Price is $13. Reservations must be made before April 1 by calling Arlene Lowell with your choice.

Dickens group to meet April 25

AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Dickens discussion group, will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Auburn Library.

The novel to be discussed is “Oliver Twist.”
