LEWISTON — Funeral services for Maria G. Kovacs were held Thursday morning, March 19, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Peter Day officiating. Chanters in the sanctuary were George Simones and John Rozos.

During the service, Maria’s son, Nicholas Kovacs, recited an epistle reading from the New Testament. A delegation from Lewiston High School was also in attendance.

At the conclusion of services, a Meal of Mercy Prayer was recited in the Church Hall by the Rev. Day, where all in attendance greeted Maria’s family with their personal condolences, followed by a reception of fellowship with words of remembrance, shared by Maria’s family.

Graveside committal prayers will be held later in the Spring at Oak Hill cemetery in Auburn. Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral of Lewiston.
