1998 – 2015
FARMINGTON — Johnnie Lee Barker Sargent, 16, a resident of Harris House in Livermore Falls, went home to be in God’s care on Friday, March 6, after a brief stay at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Johnnie was born on June 10, 1998, in Skowhegan. He attended Spruce Mountain High School in Jay, where he enjoyed music and art.
Johnnie had a special love for music, the louder the better. One of his favorite songs was “Momma Mia.”
Johnnie maintained a busy lifestyle and particularly loved his visit to Walt Disney World with his family. He also enjoyed his yearly trips to the Pine Tree Camp, where he was able to go on boat rides, swim, and make arts and crafts.
Johnnie traded his wheelchair for a set of wings and is dancing and singing in heaven.
Johnnie was survived by a large and caring family. He will be missed and remembered by his loving family, Kevin and Karen Reed, Mika, Troy, Emily, Christopher, Sharon and Ronnie Lewis, Kevin St. Laurent and Norman and Linda St. Laurent.
Johnnie’s smile and laugh will be deeply missed by his Spruce Mountain High School teachers, Diane Maurais and Debbie Desrosiers; as well as school staff, his many classmates and his Harris House family.
He was predeceased by Joyce St. Laurent and Wilma Reed, as well as James E. Reed and James C. Reed.
Johnnie touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
