1962 – 2015
LEWISTON — Lori A. Smart, 52, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, at her residence.
She was born in Bangor on Dec. 9, 1962, the daughter of Stuart and Janet (Hopkins) Mitchell.
Lori was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, who touched many hearts, no matter what she did in her life.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew Smart and his wife, Christina, Michael Smart and his companion, Amanda, and Mark Smart and his companion, Jessy; her daughter, Heidi Smart and her companion, Chris; her brothers, Eric Smart and his wife, Linda, of Newburg and David Smart and his wife, Donna, and Shawn Mitchell of Dixmont; her granddaughters, Genny, Nora, Chloe and Baby E’lissa, whom she cherished a lot; her lifetime partner, Steven Cross; and Christopher Newton, whom she raised as her own; and several aunts, uncles and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Robin Taylor.
