1963 – 2015

AUBURN — Barry Plouffe of Auburn passed away at home on Friday, March 20, after a short illness.

He was born in South Portland on June 9, 1963, to Willis Plouffe and Mary Bowerman. For most of Barry’s life, he was self-employed, but he also worked in shoe shops and did auctions for many auctioneers.

Barry married Claire Desrosiers on Sept. 22, 1990. They were to renew their wedding vows in September for their 25th anniversary.

Barry is survived by his wife, Claire; and one very special sister, Bonita Heatley and her husband, Richard Heatley; his brothers, Bruce and wife, Lynn, Benjamin and wife, Tammy, and Bob. Barry had two stepchildren, Melissa Hart and Tim Hart. Barry was papa to three beautiful grandchildren that he lived for and loved very much and also had a special cousin, Rose Caron and husband, Marc, and a very special friend, Billy Duclos, who went to join him in heaven two days later.

Barry had many, many friends and will be missed by all.

I love you, Barry, and I will never forget you and will miss you always. Rest in peace, my love.
