AUBURN — Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services will host its 15th annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner on Saturday, April 11, at Martindale Country Club, beginning at 6 p.m.
This year’s Celebrity Waiters include Brain O’Malley, deputy chief, Lewiston Police Department; Jon LaBonte, mayor of Auburn; Molly McGill, freelance writer; Assistant District Attorney Lisa Bogue and Danielle Waugh from WCSH TV. Additional waiters are Eric Samson, Androscoggin County sheriff; Rhonda Webber from Community Little Theater; Laurie Steele from Twin City Times; Steve Huber from Huber Associates; Laurie Cyr Martel from Tri County Mental Health Services; Keri Myrick from the Androscoggin Children’s Advocacy Center; Nicole Rush, community advocate; Grayling Cunningham, artist and activist; and Katie Thompson from WMTW TV.
This year’s M.C. is Jeff Peterson, morning anchor of WGME TV news.
Waiters will be assigned to a table and will share their talents with the crowd. Music for the event will be provided by TJ Yanni. Included in the event are a silent and a live auction of items from local artisans and businesses including sports memorabilia, art prints, jewelry, quilted items, Sea Dogs tickets, restaurant gift certificates and more.
New this year is a photo booth to capture the memories of the evening.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services provides support and assistance to people affected by sexual assault, sexual abuse, stalking and sexual harassment. Services include a 24-hour response line; support groups; drop-in programs at local high schools and elder housing units; accompaniment to local hospitals, law enforcement and court proceedings; outreach services and school and community awareness and prevention presentations.
