AUBURN — Good Shepherd Food-Bank will honor Bill Williamson of Bank of America at its annual Humanitarian Award program and celebratory dinner April 9.

Williamson will be presented with the JoAnn Pike Humanitarian Award, which is given each year in honor of Food-Bank founder JoAnn Pike.

The dinner will take place at the Food Bank’s Auburn warehouse, which will be transformed from food distribution hub to elegant dining room for the evening. Chefs from some of Maine’s premier restaurants, including David’s, Fish Bones, Frog & Turtle, The Rooms, Piccolo, and Zapoteca, will volunteer their time to prepare the meal.

In addition to recognizing the award recipient, the celebration will serve as an opportunity to raise crucial funds needed to help eliminate hunger in Maine communities. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by visiting the Food Bank’s website www.feedingmaine.org.
