WAYNE — Pastor Ernie Farrar and the congregation at Wayne Community Church invite all to attend any or all of the following. The church is at 22 Old Winthrop Road.
The Maundy Thursday service on April 2 will be a joint service at Green Street UMC, Augusta, at 7 p.m. Foot washing will be at 6:30.
On Good Friday, April 3, the sanctuary will be open to all for prayer or meditation from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All are invited to come for as long as they would like; reading reflections will be available.
Easter sunrise service on Sunday, April 5, will be at 7 a.m. lakeside at 30 Pond Road. The theme is “The Tomb is Empty!” This is an informal brief gathering by the lake, as participants reflect on the events of Easter morning.
A community breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The men of the church will cook up a real treat.
The Easter service at 9:30 a.m. will be on the theme “He Lives!” The traditional Sunday service includes special choir music.
