LEWISTON — Attorney Michael Bigos of the Berman & Simmons law firm has earned the highest peer rating in personal injury, litigation and business law from Martindale-Hubbell.

Martindale-Hubbell conducts peer review ratings of lawyers throughout the U.S., with the results based on the confidential opinions of lawyers and judges who are experts in their fields. Bigos was recognized for 2015 as “AV Preeminent,” which is the highest level of professional excellence for legal ability and ethical standards.

Bigos is a resident of Auburn. He joined Berman & Simmons in 2004. Since then, Bigos has earned a reputation as a leader of Maine’s trial bar. He is known as the go-to leader in Maine for legislative advocacy on civil justice issues, safety policies, protecting consumers, and presentations involving trial work. He is a governor of both the American Association of Justice and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
