LEWISTON — The Central Maine Human Resources Association will hold its monthly breakfast meeting from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. All are welcome.

The breakfast and meeting are free for CMHRA members. There is time to network before and after the program, which is designed to provide guidance and resources for anyone dealing with employee issues. The program has been submitted for HRCI credits but not pre-approved.

This month’s presentation, “Affordable Care Act in 2015 — How’s It Going So Far?” will feature Ellen McPherson and Rick Morrone of the Holden Agency reviewing the status of the Affordable Care Act for employers. Many elements of the Affordable Care Act have begun to have an impact on employers, including shared responsibility, transitional reinsurance and benefit plan changes. The speakers will discuss the basic elements of the requirements, outstanding questions and employer’s experiences thus far.

Membership in CMHRA is open to all for-profit, nonprofit, public and private organizations. Meetings are regularly attended by human resources managers; benefits administrators; health, wellness and safety managers; training and development professionals; supervisors; small business owners; and other individuals interested in human resources issues.

Registering online is preferred and available at http://cmhra.shrm.org/events. Questions about membership should be directed to Michael Letourneau at membershipchair@cmhra.org.
