1920 – 2015

LIVERMORE FALLS — Jeannette L. Labbe, 95, a resident of Livermore Falls and longtime summer resident of Long Pond in Livermore, passed away, Tuesday, April 7, with her family by her side.

She was born in Livermore Falls on Jan. 29, 1920, the daughter of Raoul N. Duguay and Delvina (Cote) Duguay. She graduated from Jay High School in 1938.

On July 23, 1939, she married Wilfred Labbe at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. They were married for 54 years before he passed away on April 21, 1993. Jeannette worked as a book keeper for Bill’s Chevron for 13 years and was also a devoted homemaker.

She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. John de Baptiste, Saint Anne, George Bunton Post American Legion Auxiliary, Jay/Livermore Falls Senior Citizens and former president of the VFW Auxiliary in Jay.

She is survived by her two sons, David Labbe of Jay, and Donald Labbe of Livermore Falls; one sister, Doris Ouellette of Livermore Falls; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and her brother, Adelard “Duds” Labbe.
