1949 – 2015

FARMINGTON — Cynthia L. Witherell, 65, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, at Sandy River Nursing Care Center with family at her side.

She was born in Farmington on Sept. 17, 1949, the daughter of Shirley and David Witherell, and was a resident of Farmington most of her life. She graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1967.

Cindy was a nature enthusiast. She enjoyed tending the beautiful flowers in her gardens and keeping track of the birds that frequented her home. She was always accompanied by her beloved cats. Cindy spent a great deal of time with her many nieces and nephews, doing a variety of crafts. She loved organizing family gatherings and creating Christmas traditions. She will always be remembered for her kind and giving spirit, and her beautiful smile.

She was employed for many years taking care of residents at Edgewood Manor in Farmington, and later worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital as a CNA.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Shirley; and her sister, Patricia Moody and husband, Michael Moody, of Palm Coast, Fla.

She was predeceased by her father, David; and her brother, Douglas Witherell and his wife, Luana.
