LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Irene M. Tremblay was held on Friday, April 10, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass the burial pall, which symbolized Irene’s Baptism into new life, was placed on her casket by her daughter, Pauline Lagasse; her son-in-law, Reginald Lagasse; and by her two granddaughters, Amie and Sarah Lagasse. The Offertory was brought to the altar also by Pauline and Reginald Lagasse. The pallbearers were Reginald Lagasse, Robin Morris, Adam Gauthier, Michael Tremblay, Larry Tremblay and Marc Tremblay. Following the committal prayers at the cemetery, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant. Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston.
