LISBON — More than 400 people attended the Dr. Seuss birthday party March 6 as part of Lisbon Community School’s celebration of Read Across America Day.

Guest readers included Sue Ramsay, Jeff Picard, Sean Galipeau, Sue Bornstein, Shawn Wright, Heather Wilmot, Jo Jean Keller, Judith Rowe and Ron Hood. Guest receptionists were Lorraine Bard and Lisa Caron.

Face-painting, themed displays, popcorn sales and prizes were part of the party. Donations from face-painting and popcorn sales were designated for specific causes. Face painters were librarian Katy Dodge, library aide Victoria Worden, Roxanne Blethen, Laurie Cincotta, Debbie Cote, Linda Lally, Sally LeBlanc, Dottie Nadeau, Kymberlee Piela and Jessi Stein.
