Oxford bridge club announces winners
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met at 9:15 a.m. Friday, April 10, in the recreation building on King St. for a 6-table Howell movement.
Finishing first in flight A were Mike Newsom of Paris and Misha Tomic of Waterford, tied for second and third were Dick Allen of New Gloucester and Pete Cummings of Paris with Hazel Glazier of Norway and Marta Clements of Woodstock and fourth were Cynthia and Bill Clifford of Lewiston, who also were first in flight B.
Second in flight B were Milt McKeen of Bridgton and Jim Krainin of Naples, third were Diana and Jim Fallon Bridgton and fourth were B.J. and Steve Cavicchi of Bridgton.
The next game will be played Friday, April 17. All bridge players are invited, and a partner is always guaranteed.

Lewiston Bridge Club announces winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club met at the Lewiston Armory on Monday and Tuesday, April 13 and 14.
Winners on April 13 were Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe, first in A, B and C; Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin second in A, B and C; Rosemarie and Tom Goodwin, third; and Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons with Dick Allen and Pete Cummings, fourth/fifth tie.
Winners on April 14 were Rosemarie Goodwin and David Lock, first; Kath Burden and Sharron Hinckley, second; Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe third; Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe, first in B; and Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons, second.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. There will not be a game on Monday, April 20. The next game will be Tuesday, April 22. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.

VFW to host chicken pie supper
PARIS — A chicken pie supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the VFW Post 9787, 58 East Main St.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.
The meal is hosted by Amvets Post 777.
First Universalist Church to host Maypole event
NORWAY — Members and friends of the First Universalist Church of Norway, Unitarian Universalist, will perform a Maypole dance at noon Sunday, April 26, following services.
The maypole will consist of long, bright-colored ribbons and the music will have a Celtic theme. Music director Heather Pierson will perform musical selections on her melodica. Children are encouraged to participate.

Pine Grove Cemetery to host annual meeting
POLAND — The annual meeting of the directors and officers of the Pine Grove Cemetery Corporation of Poland will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the home of Fred Huntress, 67 Strout Road, Poland.
All lot owners and members of the corporation are encouraged to attend.
Finnish Cemetery Association to meet
WEST PARIS — The Finnish Cemetery Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the Mission Congregational Church, Church Street, West Paris.
Reports will be given and election of officers will be held. All persons having connections with the cemetery are urged to attend.
