Guthries Independent Theater will be showing “Still Alice,” directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland and starring Julianne Moore, above, (winner, Best Actress, 2015 Academy Awards), Alec Baldwin and Kristen Stewart.  Alice Howland, happily married with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. When she receives a diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking and inspiring. Show times are 6 p.m.,  Thursday, April 16 and 23 and 5:45 and 8:30 p.m., Friday, April 17 and 2 p.m., 4:45 and 7:30 p.m on Saturday April 18 and 25.  Doors are located at 22 Park St. and open 30 minutes prior to showtime.  Tickets are $8.
