PORTLAND — Two Lewiston elementary school students came together at the Portland Museum of Art on March 7 to participate in the Youth Art Month Exhibition and Celebratory Reception.
Grace Grimmel-Flash, a sixth-grade student at Farwell Elementary School, and Makayla Williams, a kindergarten student at Gov. James B. Longley Elementary School, each had one work of art chosen for display at the museum during Youth Art Month.
The exhibit featured artwork by 112 Maine Kindergarten through 12th grade students from 85 participating schools within the state. They each received an individual Certificate of Participation and Honor along with a lapel pin celebrating art.
