AUGUSTA — A Randolph woman has pleaded guilty to prostitution charges related to a brothel she ran in Litchfield.

Gretchen Patrick pleaded guilty in the Kennebec County Superior Court on Thursday to felony attempted aggravated sex trafficking and misdemeanor sex trafficking.

The Kennebec Journal  reports that the 52-year-old Patrick was placed on deferred disposition for 18 months with the understanding that if she successfully meets all the requirements, she can withdraw the guilty plea and the felony charge will be dismissed.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on the misdemeanor charge in August.

Prosecutors say Patrick forced one woman to engage in prostitution to repay a debt for Suboxone that Patrick was supplying.

Authorities say Patrick advertised “Sarah’s Place” on the Internet.
