LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lucien V. “Vince” Levasseur was celebrated Friday morning, April 17, by the Rev. Aaron Damboise at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish, following prayers at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home.
At the entrance to church, Vince’s family draped their father’s casket with a white burial pall signifying their father’s baptism into a new spiritual life with God.
During Mass, a Scripture reading was proclaimed by Vince’s granddaughter, Kelsey Woodhead. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by granddaughter, Brittany Woodhead. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Kelsey and Brittany Woodhead, as well as Lucas and Olivia Berlinger.
Words of remembrance were shared by Vince’s two daughters, Angie Woodhead and Lisa Berlinger. Following Mass, a receiving line was formed by the Levasseur family in the back of church so all in attendance could greet them with a personal condolence.
Bearers were Andy Woodhead, Robert Berlinger, Joshua and Zachary Levasseur, as well as Bruce and Brian Lebrecque.
At the conclusion of services all were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Burial will be held privately at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home of Lewiston.
