WISCASSET (AP) — Officials say that the body of a woman who was last seen on Friday has been found in the Sheepscot River.

WCSH-TV reported (http://on.wcsh6.com/1cRUz0J) that the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office said Monday that a couple walking their dog on Water Street discovered the body of 74-year-old Lynn Crink.

Lynn Crink’s husband said he last saw her leaving their Edgecomb home on foot at about 4:30 Friday afternoon. He reported her missing when she didn’t return. Her body was found and recovered more than 5 miles from her home.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was joined in the search by Maine Marine Patrol, Maine State Police, Maine Wardens Service and Lincoln County Search and Rescue.

The Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy but investigators don’t suspect foul play.
