1942 – 2015
PORTLAND — Jacquelyn Merrithew Holmes Foltz, 73, of Portland, passed peacefully on Monday, April 20, surrounded by her family.
She worked many jobs, but most enjoyed the food service field and working at the Holiday Inn Express.
Jacquelyn enjoyed warm days at Kiwanis Beach, playing cards, crafting and holidays with her family. She was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh and smile.
She is survived by three daughters, Cyndi Douglass and her husband, Wayne, of Hiram, Jamie DeAngelis of Standish, and Nancy Holmes of Buxton; two sons, George Holmes and his wife, Mary, of Auburn, Scott Holmes and his fiancee, Tammy Fisher, of Sabattus; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings, Patricia Bird, Carole Dorr, Linda McKee and Judy Hall.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Denise Amadon; and siblings, Sharon Johnson, Denna Merrithew and Michael Merrithew.
