BRYANT POND — Whitman Memorial Library has a variety of activities scheduled:
* At 1 p.m. on May 14, Farmer Minor and his pig, Daisy, along with his two pug dogs, will present a program called Pig Out on Reading. Two classes from the Woodstock Elementary School will attend, but the program is also open to the public.
* At 2 p.m. on May 21, Jean Federico of the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will present information on invasive forest pests and invasive plants and what we can do to help battle these problems.
* At 2 p.m. on June 19, Diane York of Bryant Pond will present a program on spring planting of flowers.
Library hours are 1 – 5 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
Alice Deegan has accepted a three-year term on the library board. Stacy Millett has been thanked for several years on the board.
The library plans to have a float in the Bicentennial parade on June 20. It already has volunteer help, but would welcome more to help with decorating. The library will be open that day and there will be a book sale.
