VFW holding taco, burrito supper Friday
AUBURN — The VFW Post 1603 will host a taco and burrito supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 1, at 588 Minot Ave.
The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12.
All proceeds help local veterans’ programs.
Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association to meet
SABATTIS — The Sabattus Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Town Office.
Lot owners are invited to attend.
Ultimate Yard Sale is May 9, 10
TURNER — Androscoggin County’s Ultimate Yard Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, at Boofy Quimby Memorial Center, Howe’s Corner Road.
Admission is $2. There is no admission for children.
A 10-foot by 10-foot table can be rented for $20.
Food will be available for purchase.

Edward Little art, speech gala set for May 14
AUBURN — The first annual Edward Little Art and Speach Show Gala will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in the library at Edward Little High School.
There will be a silent auction of student created art work as well as speech demonstrations throughout the evening.
Admission is $3, which will help support fund-raising efforts by the Speech Team. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Lewiston Eagles to meet May 16
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Eagles 618 Club will meet from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16.
The recipients of the club’s annual college scholarships will be there.
They are Tracy Pelletier of Edward Little High School and Taylor Woodbury of Leavitt Area High School.
A pot luck supper and social hour will be held from 4 to 5 p.m.
DJ Paul Hersey will provide entertainment.
Both young adults are pursuing college after graduation.
All members and guests are welcome.
Corvette Club plans cruise ride
LEWISTON – The Mid Maine Vettes Corvette Club will hold their first cruise ride and dinner activity of the year Saturday evening, May 16.
The club’s dinner destination will be Merced’s restaurant on Brandy Pond in Naples. Corvette owners interested in participating can contact the club.
