READFIELD — Julia Clukey’s Camp for Girls in Readfield will take place June 17 through 20 and June 22 through 26 on Maranacook Lake.

The camp, sponsored by Clukey and the Kennebec Valley YMCA, is designed for girls entering grades four through eight to develop self-confidence and a healthy lifestyle. This will be the camp’s fourth year.

It will feature a wide range of activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature walks, field sports, arts and crafts plus theater and music. In 2014, the KV YMCA added a low-ropes course. This year the camp has added gardening and fishing.

An open house is scheduled from from 10 a.m. noon on Saturday, June 6, at the camp.
