LEWISTON — The Awesome, next up in the Franco Center’s current club series, will be featured for an ’80s Night rocking dance on the corner of Cedar and Oxford Streets in Lewiston. The show will be in the Center’s Heritage Hall Clubhouse this at 8:30 p.m., Friday, May 8.

Hailing from Portland, The Awesome is comprised of seasoned musicians with experience in several of Maine’s most popular bands. The band will bring an ’80s theme to L-A for a night of dancing and partying.

”These talented performers have teamed up to form the ultimate party band” said Mitch Thomas, the Franco Center’s executive director, “They have been packing sold-out crowds at premier nightclubs in Maine, and beyond.”

Doors and bar open at 7:30 p.m., downstairs in Heritage Hall. “We’d love to see people get dressed up ’80s style and come join us,” Thomas said.
