1954 – 2015

NORWAY — Steve F. Farnum, 61, of Harrison, died early Monday morning, May 4, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on Apr. 20, 1954, in La Rochelle, France, a son of Frederick and Eleanor (Wing) Farnum. A graduate of Telstar High School in 1972, he went on to attend the vocational school in Berlin, N.H., earning an associate’s degree in machine tool processes.

On Aug. 21, 1982, he married Rosalie “Rose” Clough at Screw Auger Falls in Newry.

Steve worked at Rich Tool & Die, now known as LAI, in Scarborough as a gauge calibration inspector for 26 years.

He was a member of the Road Kings Motorcycle Club in Berlin, N.H., for 17 years and was also a member of the Harrison Friendly Riders and Arnold Trail snowmobile clubs.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve enjoyed sailing, kayaking and boating. He especially enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing and most recently, time spent at his camp in Eustis with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rose of Harrison; a son, Caleb Farnum and his girlfriend, Jen Benjamin, of Harrison; a brother, Ricky Farnum, his wife, Tammy, of Bryant Pond and their daughter, Angie Contreras and her husband, Nate, of Topsham and their daughter, Mya; two paternal aunts, Carol Campbell of Bryant Pond and Cindy Heath of Bryant Pond.

He was predeceased by his parents.
