CONCORD, N.H. — The National Weather Service says there’s still a high fire danger in parts of New Hampshire and Maine as a dry air mass remains in place.

The red flag warning was in place through 8 p.m. Wednesday in northern and central New Hampshire and in central and southern Maine.

The weather service says anyone considering outside burning should monitor conditions and check with local and state officials.

Brush fires have been occurring throughout the week. Some of the larger ones have been in Concord and Ossipee, New Hampshire.
