MECHANIC FALLS — RSU 16 Adult Education will hold the class Boating Safety from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at 129 Elm St.

The class will teach proper boating safety and operation including handling, equipment and trailering. Laws, environmental ethics, emergencies, self-help, first aid and cold-water survival will be covered.

Exam and 100 percent attendance is required. Successful completion will result in a certificate, which serves as proof of compliance if you are stopped by New Hampshire law enforcement when boating on boundary waters.

This course meets requirements for operation of personal watercraft by 16- and 17-year-olds.

Registration is $7.
