ORONO – The Black Bear Beauties Plant Sale will be held on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Roger Clapp Greenhouses at UMaine.
Students and faculty in the horticulture and sustainable agriculture program at the University of Maine grow the plants sold in this sale. Proceeds from the sale fund ‘Grower of the Year’ scholarships for the best student growers in these programs. This year, there will be tomatoes, peppers, herbs, annuals, and a limited number of woody plants.
