Bradley’s annual spring cleanup will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at the temporary transfer station at 686 Main Street.
Property owner Identification from the town is required to take part in the cleanup, with ID stickers available at the municipal building for $1. There is a two load limit per property.
All loose items must be boxed or bagged. Acceptable materials include miscellaneous household items, car batteries, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, empty gas cans, empty gas tanks, auto parts, waste oil, stoves, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, file cabinets, tables, chairs, water tanks, furniture, mattresses, radios, carpet – cut in four foot sections, rolled and tied – and small amounts of sheet rock and plaster. $2 per propane tank/cylinder and per tire on a rim will be charged on site.
Unacceptable materials will include any container that has a liquid i.e. glue, tar, solvent, resin, paint, caulking, gas, auto parts with liquids, mercury thermostats, wood waste or brush.
At the same time, there will be electronic waste collection at the municipal building. Acceptable materials will include broken and unwanted TVs, monitors, computers, laptops, printers, scanners, cell phones, game consoles, digital frames, cameras, fluorescent lighting.
