Mid May, what a glorious time of year. Birds are singing as they busily fly around building their nests and feeding their young. Frogs are croaking, bees are buzzing, wild flowers are blooming, and leaves are appearing on the trees.

Ice is melting in the lakes where the boats will soon be sending waves against the shore. Friends are returning from the sunny south. Motorcycles are speeding along the highway and children are counting how many more days of school there are before the wonderful long summer vacation begins.

I am not a flower girl but many people feel they add beauty and fragrance to the lawn or home. If you have flowers that you would like to donate to the Fairbanks Church for the Sunday morning worship service, please call Cindy Kemble at 778-3808.

Some people like to take flowers to the cemetery on Memorial Day. The FSNA will be selling artificial cemetery flower arrangements at the meetinghouse on May 16th from 10 to 12. If anyone has flowers that you would care to donate, please call Cindy Kemble at 778-3808.

On June 6th, the FSNA will hold their annual lawn sale at the meetinghouse from 8 to 2. See you there, and enjoy the long weekend that will be coming up soon.
