LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force will host its sixth annual Senior Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the Lewiston-Auburn College of the University of Southern Maine, 51 Westminster St., Lewiston. The event will be in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The event will offer a chance to learn about local resources and services and an opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors.
The resource fair will feature a variety of speakers on topics including financial safety, health and wellness, internet crimes targeting seniors as well as information tables from local organizations that work with seniors.
Free lunch and morning refreshments will be provided and prizes will be raffled off. This year’s resource fair is sponsored by United Ambulance, Community Credit Union, Maine Family Federal Credit Union, the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, AARP, SeniorsPlus and the Auburn Housing Authority.
The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.
