Old Town’s second annual Memorial Day Parade and celebration will be held this Monday, May 25.
The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Old Town High School. All area veterans are invited to attend and march in the parade. if you can’t march, John T. Cyr and Sons is offering a bus so you can take part. Please call Tim Caliandro, who is organizing the event, at 478-8393 to get a registration number so slots can be assigned.
The parade route will be down Stillwater Avenue onto Main Street as far as Prentiss Street. It then will return to Riverfront Park, where there will be a barbecue and a live band. Veterans and a guest may eat for fre; for all others the cost is $5 per person, or $15 per family.
The parade and celebration are being put on by Birmingham Funeral Home and Dignity Memorial, with generous support from local businesses.
